Friends Of Baptists In Zimbabwe are inviting you to a Black Tie Dinner event on Friday the 28th of November at the Double Tree Hotel, Richardson, TX. About FOBIZ The Friends of Baptists in Zimbabwe(FOBIZ) came into existence 10 years ago led by Rev. Dr. Isaac Mwase. Those who helped establish FOBIZ included Ian and Sharon Cosh, Fred and Mary-Jane Odanga, Dr. Solomon and Hope Masenda, Dr. Isaac and Ruth-Anne Mwase, Carolyn Mushaka, Rev. Phineas and Maggie Bonda, Rev. Robert and Clotilda Chimwaza, Rev. D.R. and Mrs. Crossley, Jerry and Kulsum Nyatoro, Rev. Philip and Tariro Chabata, Mrs. Marjorie Simbanegavi, Rev. Dr. Joseph Hama, Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Mataruka. FOBIZ has supported a variety of projects including: • Providing scholarships to seminary, high school and universitystudents. • Sinking a borehole at a churche as part of a Green Project. • Buying a truck for Sanyati Baptist Secondary School. • Making donations to the Baptist World Alliance and the All Africa Baptist Fellowship on behalf of Baptist conventions in Zimbabwe. • Supporting orphans due to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. FOBIZ is now partnering with other non-profits on several exciting new initiatives under the leadership of Dr. Solomon Masenda, the most ambitious being a drive to computerize Zimbabwe high schools, especially those in the rural areas. Arise and shine for this is our day.
