The Chili Chowder Fest is an event that takes place the Saturday of HeritageDays. It is hosted by "The Park" and features a selection of thefinest chilies and chowders made by establishments from all around the MidcoastArea. It is a "Sample 'Em All" event with public voting for BestChili & Best Chowder with all the proceeds benefiting "The Park".Often featuring door prizes & local music, the Chili Chowder Fest alsoboasts the Inter-Safety Departmental Chili Cook Off where the representativesfrom local fire, police, and sheriff’s departments will again go head to head.
